What is NFT Art, exactly?
To grasp NFTs, consider a digital file (such as an mp3 or jpg) that you can make a limitless number of copies of. The goal of an NFT is to generate something that can’t be replicated about the file. Ownership of the work it includes, to be specific.
The term “non-fungible” refers to something that is unique and limited, similar to how a one-of-a-kind baseball card cannot be duplicated.
To do so, the majority of NFTs use Ethereum, a cryptocurrency. The NFT is a piece of code that is stored on the Ethereum blockchain and may be validated, exchanged, and tracked, as well as representing (or pointing to) other data such as a video or image.
It’s worth noting that an NFT can be anything.
